Jacob Wise

A native of Austin, Texas, Jacob Wise is a jazz guitarist with an open mind.

Jacob received his musical education at the University of North Texas, where he received an M.M. in Jazz Studies, and was a member of the renowned One O’Clock Lab Band and a Graduate Teaching Fellow. He’s studied privately with guitarists Adam Rogers, Peter Bernstein, Lage Lund, and Dave Stryker, and has performed all over Texas with some of the state’s top jazz musicians.

Jacob teaches jazz guitar at the University of Texas at Austin and Austin Community College, and maintains a busy private teaching studio and performance schedule.

Jacob has released 2 CDs of original music: “Paseo”, and “Jacob Wise Trio”, both available on Bandcamp.

Jacob plays a Pat Martino Model and a Bambino Deluxe.
