Van Hoose Vintage Instruments (our first Texas Dealer) will have an outstanding showing of new Benedetto guitars including many from Bob’s Boutique.

BG's Howard Paul will be in attendance to represent Benedetto as well as BG Artist Clint Strong who will together give a clinic on “playing the jazz guitar” featuring Benedetto guitars and their combined musical talents.

Per Tom, "This is the 33rd year for the Dallas Guitar Show, and I have had a booth at all 33 shows!"

It's almost Flashback Friday so I can post this... next month it will be 3 years since the 2nd Miner/Benedetto Players Concert Series in May 2007 - featuring Frank Vignola, Howard Alden and Howard Paul in the gorgeous setting of Miner's Napa Valley Winery. So grab a glass of wine (preferably Miner) and sit back and enjoy (or re-enjoy) this exquisite jazz.  Cheers!  (Oh, and don't forget the next Concert is August 14th!)

WELCOME BACK

   Our new Curly Spalted Alder 16-B is so special (stunning actually!) that we want to show it off in public.

The Curly Spalted Alder Bob used for this instrument is as flamey as the most beautiful piece of curly maple, but with the uniquely stunning spalted effect. Because Spalted Alder is softer and lighter than Maple, Bob balanced this guitar with an ultralight Spanish Cedar neck and a beautiful amber piece of Sitka Spruce for the top. The carmel colored Curly Koa binding and heel cap highlight the rare wood selection. 

Bob believed that the lighter woods would warm the tone of the guitar, so he opted for an X-braced top with a floating pickup. The guitar sounds like its been aging for 25 years!  He included a unique headstock motif using a band of Spanish Cedar accented with a turquoise reconstituted stone inlay.

Now that we have your attention, Howard will be bringing this guitar (and many others!) to the Dallas International Guitar Festival April 16-18 and exhibiting with longtime BG friend/Dealer Van Hoose Instruments.
